    NUWC Keyport Division, WA History

    Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division is one of two NUWC centers used by the Navy for fleet readiness support for submarines, torpedoes, land attack systems and fleet training systems. Since 1914, the Keyport Division has served the public in test, training, and evaluation services. In the 1950s, the first 3D underwater tracking ranges in the world were located here.

    The center is located on Puget Sound in Keyport, Washington, which allows the facility to support British Columbia, Pearl Harbor and Ford Island in Hawaii, San Diego, California, Hawthorne, Nevada, and Guam.
